what size are the lug nuts that hold the coil pack plate on?

Okay, great and thanks again happy Thanksgiving!
Oh my goodness, I finally found it! It's a clip that has a slight crack in it coming from the back fuel injector! Whew, so now just replace the one fuel injector and we're good! Then figure out that 6 cylinder misfire.

So as obsidian I found the leak coming from one of my fuel injector o rings and I replaced it and now no more leaks! Great so about the p0306 I replaced the coil piece from one from the junk yard now instead of a p0306 I now have a p0300 multiple cylinder misfire instead of my cylinder 6 cheap Amazon spark wires I think. :-)

I would not assume the coil is good since it is used. I suggest getting a new coil and retest.
I attached the procedure for the coil below and a picture.
If that does not repair it, I would check the fuel pressure.
Pressure
48 - 55 psi

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
Electronic ignition control module.
DISASSEMBLE
1. Ignition coil bolts/screws (22).
2. Ignition coil (18) and seal (19) from ignition control module (20).
3. Ignition control module (20) from ignition control module bracket (21), if necessary.
ASSEMBLE
1. Ignition control module (20) to ignition control module bracket (21), if removed.
2. Ignition coil seal (19) and coil (18) to ignition control module (20).
3. Ignition coil bolts/screws (22).
Tighten
Ignition coil bolts/screws (22) to 4.5 Nm (40 lb. in.).
INSTALL OR CONNECT
Electronic ignition control module.

Okay, I will try that. I don't think it's my fuel pump, it's priming just fine. but the MSD cool pack i had before gave me a p0306 code so I switched just the one coil pack. now it's giving me a multiple misfire. I got some after market spark wire from Amazon i am thinking that may be my issue too. so I'm going to replace those wire and go with OEM from AutoZone and we'll see what happens.
Nov 30, 2020 at 8:49 AM
I just don't get it! It's so frustrating and I'm so close. I found and fixed the gas leak now I just can't figure out what's throwing on that code. I got new sparks closest to OEM as possible, new wires. what is it?

You need to check the fuel pressure to be sure there is enough fuel supplied to the pump.
You can hear it run but that does not mean it is providing the correct pressure.

Would that throw on the p0300 code? Low fuel pressure?
Dec 1, 2020 at 8:45 AM
That is the number one reason for the 300 code. Low fuel pressure.

Interesting and how would I test my fuel pressure and what would the measurements for my vehicle that I would be looking for?
Dec 1, 2020 at 8:56 AM
I attached a picture of the test port where you attach the fuel pressure gauge.
The spec is below.
Pressure
48 - 55 psi

Got it, thanks. so on the fuel injector rail that little knob is my test point great. thanks I will keep you updated.
Dec 1, 2020 at 9:32 AM
By the way do you know my gap for my spark plugs? I'm going to check that too.
Dec 1, 2020 at 9:21 PM
Okay, the gap is below for the plugs.
1.52 mm (0.060 in).

Did you use new plugs? Gapping the plugs will have little or no effect on the issue at hand.
What is the fuel pressure?

I did yes haven't tested the fuel pressure yet.. hoping that wasn't the issue.

Hey Roy, so I had an idea I wanted to ask you about. haven't been able to get to the car yet since it has been raining. but a year or two back I had an issue with my MAF sensor it was bad. so bought a new one after market from AutoZone but it would start up, it would shut off. anyhow, long story short I took it to a shop for a diagnosis and they said its my MAF sensor. I said I replaced it brand new with one from AutoZone. they said yeah that's my problem it has to be OEM once I changed it back to OEM it ran fine and my idle air control sensor i lost my original OEM. so yes of course I got one after market from AutoZone. do you think that might effect the p0300 as well? I know those sensors are sensitive and must be OEM but I wanted your opinion.

Did You verify fuel pressure to the injectors?

No not yet haven't got a chance to get to the car yet. it sits out side and it has been raining lately. so yeah, I'm so close to completing this build.
Dec 15, 2020 at 8:32 AM
But do you think not having the original OEM idle air control valve bin the vehicle also could be an issue?

One step at a time.

Okay, so update: i got the kit to do the fuel pressure test, but the guy at the AuotZone also said I may have to do what is called an ECU relearn for my car. how could I do that?
Dec 16, 2020 at 12:03 PM
There is no ECM relearn at all.
How did the fuel pressure test result?

Will do. because even though I found that bad coil pack she's running better but still a p0300 code. but we're narrowing it down. feels good because I know I'm so close to completing this task. And thanks again!

Test the pressure and let me know. You need a specific amount of pressure for it to run.
