Can a bad caliber, warped rotor, stuck or jamming slide pins cause a rumble and skipping without hitting the brakes?

Yeah, it's a pain. I'm really thinking about getting rid of the air matic, and getting standard suspension or coil overs. I don't want to keep dealing with air suspension anymore. Regardless I will take the photos of the bracket.

If anyone needs a good reason on why you should never use aftermarket parts. Especially if it's a vital or critical parts, my airmatic valve block completely failed. It was an aftermarket part that is almost 3 days old. When driving home going 50MPH the car made a loud pop followed by a loud hiss. All four sides of the car dropped, and I almost lost control. Luckly, I knew exactly what was happening and was able to keep the car under control. I also was lucky I was on back roads and there was no one around. Four of the six connections blew out the threads on block itself. It was a complete failure. Since I keep everything in the car, I had the old one and was back driving in 20 minutes. The scariest part is being on a dark road in the pine barrens with no one around. Jersey devil anyone.

That is excellent advice. I'm just glad that you didn't have an accident. Also, in a way, I'm glad that all four sides went down at the same time. It may have been more difficult to control if it was just one side.

Are you able to return the bad parts?

Here is the bracket. One of the posts snapped off. Also, the little ring of rust on the hanger caused a small gap between it and the bushing. Those two small things lead to that very intense vibration and noise.. only two bolts hold it into frame. Unfortunately, the Mercedes top mounted it and I had to remove the bumper and headlight to get to bolts. Was not the easiest thing to do by yourself.

Wow! I feel bad that you had to go through this. When you get a vehicle manufactured by a company like Mercedes, you think it would have a better design.

Regardless, thank you for the pics and explanation. Hopefully, everything is back together and working as it should.

Thank you for trying to give me a hand. Companies like making things difficult. To remove the bracket, I had to remove the bumper and headlight. It doesn't sound like much but remember it's a Mercedes. To fix that all Mercedes had to do was weld 2 nuts in top of bracket and use longer bolts. Pretty much doing a bottom mount. But now they can charge a poor person $600.00 for something that should only take 10 minutes.

Just an update, everything is good now. I've haven't had any issues since the installation. The only thing that sucks is I had to make my own hardware kit with parts from Lowes. Mercedes wanted $45.00 for bushings, nuts washers ECT. I built my own for $5.45. I'm just lucky I'm able to do everything myself and if I don't know how I can watch a video or read article and can figure it out with ease. Never buy one if you cannot do everything yourself. I've been warning everyone I can. Once again thank you for trying to help me out. It is greatly appreciated.
