Overdrive light off keeps flashing

Hello,

If you follow the wires from the harness into the transmission it will lead you right to it. If I remember correctly there is one on the top of the trans-axle and another one on the side of the trans-axle. I think A is the top one. I will get the diagram for you that shows them when I get back. Sorry for the delay on that though.

I was wrong bout the location of that solenoid here is what the data says.
Shift Solenoids (SSA, SSB, SSC)
Three on/off solenoids are used for electronic shift scheduling. The three solenoids are located in the main control valve body. The solenoids are two-way, normally open style. Shift solenoids SSA, SSB, and SSC provide selection of first through fourth gear by controlling the pressure of the three shift valves. It looks like they are changeable though the book calls for 2.5 hours to change them. It might be a good idea to do a transmission service changing the oil and filter. They sell a kit to do these services.

Thanks, I have already changed the oil and filter cleaned it all out and replaced the fluid already. now I just need to figure out exactly how to get to them and get them changed out, because I already bought the fuses. now I know I'm asking a lot here but do you think you could possibly just walk me through it?

So you had the transmission pan off and you were able to get the internal filter out and changed. The unit that it is connected to is the valve body. It's pretty complicated in there and is probably something I would be able to teach over the computer and there is a whole series of specialty tools needed. I uploaded the diagram to show you what I am talking about. It's under the side cover that the filter was on. The first one is just the bolts that hold it on, the second one is the solenoids in question. With your filter change done what is the transmission doing exactly now how is it acting. is the light still flashing but its driving okay?

Well, it's still driving I wouldn't exactly say great but I am able to drive around 10-20 miles before my transmission gets too hot and I have to shut her off for a couple of hours.

But I am able to get her driving it takes a second once I make a complete stop but she goes and then once I get the car to around 10-15 miles per hour it starts driving normal again.

Hmm, okay.

Have you checked the fluid level? What might be happening is the oil cooler might be blocked either inside and it has poor flow and or there may be stuff in the cooling fins on the outside. Check to see if the there is an external oil cooler on it or if the transmission cooling lines are going directly into the radiator. This might be a radiator or oil cooler issue.
