Okay, fuse 32 does get power for a couple of seconds.
Did we get the OEM crankshaft sensor installed?

I don't know if it's OEM or not, but my volt meter shows the coil pack is getting 10 volts while cranking and putting out 10 volts. I'm thinking the plugs are all bad but i know that can't be it.

Nevermind whatever that was went away. I think I'm just going to sell it and get it out of my yard. Thanks for all the help.

I have a 98 Beetle, it won't start or even turn over. Have tried boosting it with no result. It is a diesel with manual transmission. I tested the battery and seems good. Lights etc all come on just nothing when you turn the key to start. Could it be a fuse somewhere that I am missing?

Best get the starter tested, i will look up to check for a fuse, do you have a hand book, it should have all the fuses noted there as well.

fuse 28 is for the fuel pump. check or change that then take off the gas cap and put your ear to it and have someone turn on the key, but not start the car. youll hear a hum if the pump runs. if not then youll need to check for power at the pump with the key on to make sure its bad
