Car will not run unless starting fluid is used. Fuel pump relay has to be jumped to get fuel pump on but it was working normal after the no start. Seems like the fuel system has shut down and will not deliver gas to plugs.

P0725, p1850, p1854 and p1857 is what shows up. No tachometer movement while cranking suggests crank position sensor but previous owner said he "just put a new one on trying to fix it".

Yep, the RPM sensor sounds like it is out. I would replace it with a OEM part. Here is the location in the diagrams below. Please let us know what happens.

I was messing with the fuses and finally got the fuel pump to work normal but now I don't have fire. I've been meeting with fuses and relays trying to recreate the fuel pump not working and getting fire but no luck. Could the fuel pump have just been a bad fuse and could the no fire be completely unrelated? And I can make it give the p0322 code by unplugging the crank sensor and trying to start it. Now I'm back to where I started with no fire.

No fire you mean no spark? does the engine crank over (starter working). Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

Yes, it cranks but never starts due to no spark. Would it still have spark if it jumped time? I checked the timing marks on the cam sprocket and the one in the transmission housing and they looked good to me. so i think it is still in time. Other than the cam and crank sensor, is there any other sensors that would cause no spark?

Yes it will have spark if it jumper time, did you try a new sensor? OEM? the spark starts at the crankshaft senor, camshaft sensor.

I did change the crank sensor and coil pack with no change. I am not getting battery voltage at the coil with key on. It jumps around between 8 and 11 volts. If i wiggle the ignition switch connector it changes how many volts it gets. I have 3 ignition switches, all 3 do the same thing. There is one pin on the connector that is broke. I'm going to try to connect another connector to it and see if that helps. Will be back with results after I'm done.

Okay, there are fuses that run the system. lets check for power at each with the key on. here is the engine wiring diagrams so you can see how it works and which fuses to check:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

So putting in a new ignition switch connector didn't help. I did find that if I remove the relay for the fuel pump that it will get spark again. Plug the relay back in and no spark. I'm going to get a new relay and see what happens. I hope it is not the computer keeping it from getting spark when the relay is in.

Realized that the engine will run on starting fluid with or without the coil pack plugged up. But only if the fuel pump relay is unplugged.

Not yet. Haven't been able to get a new one yet and the parts stores pulled up the wrong one. Do you have a part number for the correct relay?

The one i pulled out says 167 on it. And it only has 4 prongs on it. Is it just the complete wrong relay or did they make different versions of it?

Put 3 new relays in and it still doesn't get spark when the fuel pump gets power. I'm thinking either it's wiring or the computer is messed up.

Yep it does sounds like the PCM is bad, lets try a rebuilt/used unit to see what happens. Also did you use the wiring diagrams in the post I left, how did it turn out?

Most of the time a used one will work, but you can order a rebuild unit and give them your VIN to be sure. Let me know

Yep, same numbers and it might need to be programmed to the car. Some used ones will work but it is not 100%.

Yes it cranks over. I have all 3 versions of the fuel pump relay and tried them all. 2 coil packs and tried them both. 2 crank sensors and tried them both. 3 ignition switches and tried them all. The coil gets power but not putting out spark. I just dont get it. I'll add a video when I get a chance to take one.

So fuses still don't change anything. Was able to get it to stumble a little bit on starting fluid. I'm starting to think maybe it has a fuel problem instead or both since it's hard to get it to start on starting fluid.

It sounds like it has compression so don't worry about that. can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds when the key is turned on without cranking the engine over?
