If you are refering to is the power then you can just remove the fuse. If the heater core is leaking , then you can bypass the heater core. disconnect the lines going into the heater core and using a connection connect them together so the cooland still circulates.
check out, how it works
then click on, cooling system
then click on, heater questions

how it works is on the left of the screen
there will be questions there that refer to heater core leaks

Have you had the blend door checked? Also, with the engine hot, running, and the heater on high, do both heater core hoses get hot?

Let me know.

Check the heater core if its clogged-up if not could be an air mix/blend/mode door problem and vacuum/actuators-Also if it has a heater control valve check that too.

Hi:
Check the coolant level. It may be low. If it is full, let me know and we'll go from there.

My wife has no heat in her vehicle. I have checked both lines going into the core and both are warm. But no heat inside. What could the problem be?

Warm? that may not be enough. Compare the temp with the upper radiator hose.

Check the blend door. Make sure the heater core hoses are getting hot. If only one does, flush the heater core.

possible causes are thermostat stuck open, low coolant level and plugged heater core. the last one I want to address is the blend door motor. it is inside the car behind the radio and it fails very often. it is an electric motor that moves the mode door from cold to heat. a shop can check it for you to verify. if you hear clicking noises when you change from cold to hot, that most likely is the issue.

My heater only blows luke warm air. The coolant checks oiut ok and the blower works and i replaced the thermostat but it still only blows luke warm. What other areas should i check before taking it in for a reapir. ki can live with this and its an old car so i dont want to spend a lot of money on this reapir. The air conditioner works well as does everything else on the car

its on the heater core hose, find them at the fire wall and follow it back towards the engine, you will see it tied into the line.
