I replaced fuses, blower, resisters, relay. Air condition light doesn't come on. I didn't put in the 40 Amp fuse like it says on the diagram. When I installed all of these, it came on and felt air condition and the light came on, then when I turned off the car and turned it back on it didn't work at all. I was so excited when it came on but disappointed when It didn't work again. I have one 40 amp fuse, I see two spots for the 40 amp , but the plastic casing doesn't say what its used for. I might buy another one in the morning and put them both in? Successful first and then failure after I started the car again.

Good afternoon,

You replaced everything but you did not check any voltages.

do you have a voltmeter or test light to check voltages especially at the relay?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

I attached a wire diagram for you. check the fuses and make sure there is voltage on both sides of the fuses with the key on.

I tested just the air condition part with key on and off but no light came on. I Have both. light tester and multimeter. I just tested and found a lot of fuses dead, but in the morning I will test with the car on. I did it with the light under the hood and also under the steering wheel. I will get back to you as soon as I do that. Some worked and some no light. I will purchase some more fuses in the morning, just to be on the safe side. It is bound to be one of these. Hope so?

Used a test light on A/C and heater fuses with the car off and on. Not a single sign of life.

Under the steering wheel. I will try to get it to you. Thanks Roy. There is a 10 amp A/C and 40 amps for heating. One for the air conditioning system and HTR 40 A air conditioning system. Those are the ones I changed.

First three under the steering wheel. Last shot is under the hood fuse box. Not much of a camera man but tried. I will try again if you want but I had to do aerobatics along with juggling the camera with the light. The third picture is where I changed the fuses. 40 and 10 amps. Thank you again!

With the motor running? or just turn the key and see lights go on. If I do it again should I use the testing light?

It looks like you have an issue with the fuse box itself as that is what provides power to the 40 amp fuse.

try wiggling around the connectors and see if you can get power to the fuse.

the wires. see if wiggling them makes a difference.

the fuse box is a couple hundred dollars and the labor is 2 hours to change it.

We might be on to something Roy? I wiggled the wires and tiny bits of light hit my test light. Could I need new wire connectors rather then the fuse box? And what are they called if I do? So many names they use. Thank you Roy.

You are welcome.

They are connectors at the fuse box itself. they have pins in the connectors. remove the connectors and make sure there are no damaged, burned or loose connections. you can use some dielectric grease to help the connection.

So I should disconnect and check for burned parts? if not burnt put some dielectric grease on and reconnect? I was thinking how much it would cost to get new connectors?

Yes, that sounds like a plan.

As far as price, it would be expensive to replace the pins in the connectors. try cleaning them first.

Do you know what they are actually called in case I do this? Connectors for the fuse box for Toyota 2005 interior. Is that what I should use? Any special dielectric grease?

You could ask if they have a pigtail for the connectors to the fuse box. That is a premade connector with the pins and wires coming out. you only need to match the colors and connect with solder and shrink wrap.

Dielectric grease comes in a tube and is clear. just ask for it at a parts store.

Just watched a video on YouTube on the diagrams. The one you posted I have a question on? Heater fuse with the arrow going to M2 AND THE A/C fuse going to M5. Could that also be under my hood fuse box? I tested a bunch of fuses and they were dead? I wonder if that is giving me the problem? Just hit me to ask? Thank you again!

why replace them if they have no power? that will do nothing.

you need to find out why you have no power in the fuse box you were working.

start there.

I am going to use the digreaser into those plugs . I don't remember seeing any burn't plugs yet. I am going to look closely. Its hard when you are under the steering wheel and also freezing outside here. I tried using a mirror inside of my garage with my body upside with a light. I saw plugs at the auto store. They showed me some, but didn't actually go any further. I am going step by step now with what your telling me. Yes, you will know what I do. Thank you Roy.
