Ok. Thanks for your help. As I stated earlier as to my location, I guess I'll just have to buy the entire fuse box. So far, I have found one for $308.64. That's the cheapest so far, I don't know if I can find one any cheaper. I'm afraid of a used one as it might do the same thing. Have you replaced one before. Is it to complicated to DIY?

I haven't run across one yet, but it seems to be a common thing on 2003-2006 it might be just plug in at back. The biggest thing is getting it out more than likely use dielectric grease on connections when you reassemble.

Dielectric grease the tabs of where the electrical connector ends will plug back into it? Any other places? Just making sure. Thanks.

Ok. Also, I meant to ask as well, sometimes every now and then the display on the dash says "Check Charging System" & the battery light will come on sometimes as well. It hasn't been long since I've replaced the battery and Autozone checked the alternator and said that the alternator is fine and that it is charging. Could replacing the entire fuse box possibly cure this as well? Have you ran across this? Also, I have read that some people replaced the fusible link between the battery & the alternator and that it solved this problem for them. I'm just not sure? Do you have any ideas on this or how to check it? Thanks. Sorry for so many questions.

My fuel pump has no power. The safety shut off switch has not been trip. I have installed a new relay. Any ideas?

Are you getting power to the relay block? Have you checked for corrosion in the block or loose wires?

check the link and clean battery terminal ends first. also if belt has more than 60,000 miles replace belt and tensioner as that is recommended replacement for both

Yes, I am getting power to the block. Visual inspection did not see any corrosion. Ys there another relay for inertia switch?

No other relay. If you are getting power from the relay block, chances are there is a broken or damaged wire between the relay and the pump. Have you tried checking for continunity?

Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Ford Expedition V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My 1997 Expedition will not start. It will start if I put gas in the carb but will die as soon as the fuel is gone which is just seconds. I wanted to check the relay and the inertia switch before I replaced the fuel pump. Can you tell me where these items are located.

the inertia (fuel cut off) switch is located under right side of dash (pic below..)

the fuel pump relay is on the left side of engine compartment, in the power distribution box

I found the items but how do I know which relay is the fuel pump relay.

if the distribution box lid doesn't have a diagram then the easiest way is just to call Ford dealer and ask for part number on a fuel pump relay for your specific vehicle then match up the part number to your relay.
