No, I wish to dear god I'd known about the whole 94/95 changeover to OBD2. My best friend is the junkyard. Even then I got one MAF sensor that was way off. This one didn't have a plastic container over the sensor wires. Although, I wonder if anyone else has one of these cars around.

You are looking at a dinosaur that is on the verge of distinction and getting the correct replacement part is more than looking for a needle in a haystack. One way of getting it done is to have the one on your vehicle reman. Check if anybody is able to do it for you.

Okay. So I was returning my 4th MAF sensor to the store, and I happened upon some old man wisdom from a former GM mechanic, who said you have to turn the key on and off, 50 times to "program" the computer to learn the new MAF sensor. I'm going to try it this Friday.

There might actually be some truth to it. After the first 15 tries of no luck as usual, on the 25 try, this is basically done by trying to start it, not 50 clicks with the key in the on/off position, I was able to drive the car around the block. Then it started to rain, and a few times the SES light would stay off for a bit, instead of being steady on, so who knows, it might work.

If the SES light is indicating, it might not work after 50 tries. The PCM needs to confirm that after 50 tries there are no trouble codes and would thus erase all codes. Lets hope it gets better.
