Check applicable codes. If your fully obd1 compliant, you can check codes yourself. How long since a tune-up? Any electrical sensor, if there is a problem on the wiring circuit, replacing the sensor won't fix it. Also, you could disable the fuel system, use a spark tester on each plug wire, one at a time, engine cranking, see if you have spark at all plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure.

i would consider checking the ignition timing and try putting in a higher octane gas, let me know how that goes, post back.
