Interesting. Is any of these things going to show up on a computer diagnosis check?

not the fuel pump. the crank sensor, maybe.

code reading only identifies areas of failure, not the part failure. diagnostics will confirm part failures with the proper test equipment.

When I was able to crank it rpm gauge does not move while cranking.

Okay, then that indicates ECM is not getting a signal from the crank sensor. I would start there as it is a cheap part and easy to replace.

Okay, thank you. So I need to drop the oil pan in order to get to it?

nope, simple. go under the truck and on the passenger side of the harmonic balancer is the sensor. one connector, one bolt and out it comes.

Previously you said it was in the oil pan?

I miss read your engine, sorry. the 5.0 is on the oil pan.

So I have the 5.7 v8.Is it inside the oil pan or on the outside of the oil pan?

As I stated and sent a picture, it is outside the oil pan. it is mounted on the block next to the harmonic balancer. it has a connector that has to be removed and one hold down bolt.
