I'm glad you got it fixed. It sounded like a bad wheel bearing.

Let us know if you have other questions in the future and thanks for using 2carpros.com.

[quote:a2cc01760b="2CarPro Jack"]Is there any strange wear patter on the tire? try rotating that one to the back and see if the noise changes.Usually a bearing would do that, left turn taking the weight off the l/f wheel[/quote:a2cc01760b]

No wear pattern, switched the front and rear tires with no change. Think I'll open up the front pumpkin to look for any signs of wear coming from driver side "pumpkin bearing"?

I have replaced both axles, both front wheel bearings 8mo ago, driver side bolts came loose and ruined it so i replaced it 3weeks ago. Still have noise coming from front, i took wheels off put car on lift and still hear noise...... i'm at a loss and a new bearing in 180.00 dollars. Trouble happens when making left turns, also hear it a little bit when driving straight.

If you're referring to a buzzing noise when moving, that IS caused by the bearing. The torque on the axle nut is critical because that's what holds the bearing together. The most common cause of repeat failures is setting the vehicle's weight on that bearing before the nut is fully tightened. That will instantly damage it but the noise might not be audible right away.

Some people on this site also believe part of the problem is cheap Chinese parts but I don't have any first-hand knowledge of that.

Does the humming noise get louder or quieter depending on the vehicles speed?

I would double check all the work that has been done. Make sure the backing plate isn't rubbing. If it's possible to lift the vehicle, lift it and have someone put it into drive and slowly hit some gas while you listen to each tire. If I suspect bearings and don't hear anything, I like to touch the strut to feel any vibration and compare each side. Let me know if you find anything.
