i did not replace the relays yet but me and my friend pushed around the relays and the check engine light turned on and we tryed to get the relays to click again and we did get them by moving the relays around and we started the car and took it for a drive. My friend than took off the duck tape and we couldnt start it after that. ill change the relays and than if that does not work i will check the wires cause it seems to be a loose wire.

your right at the finish line, you just have to cross it, we cant deviate from proper diagnostics or we will just waste time. if we find that there is no power at the blue wire then we know we need to check power feed to ignition switch or we simply have a bad ignition switch causing the problem. so we have to follow order or we will be running around in circles.

unfortunately service manuals dont show you pictures like the ones you are looking for, they tell you to remove lower steering column panels and after that its up to you to get it off. if i was sitting in your drivers seat and looking under your dash i could tell you exaqctly how to remove each screw but we are limited to what we can do from across the country. just be patient its all nuts and bolts, just keep taking out screws until it comes off.

seve12345 you were right there 5 days ago. if you had only checked the ignition switch output on that blue wire, you would have been driving a lot sooner. anyway good job.

Hey I hope the guys who helped this fella are still around. I have a 94 escor with a 1.9 liter and have a crank but no start condition. I have check all the things you instructed th o.p. to check and have voltage on the blue ignition wire and my relays click and have continuity but still no spark at the coils, brand new coil by the way. I'm leaning towards the computer as the issue, how do I continue from here, please help?

Hello,

Can you hear the pump come on in the fuel tank for five seconds when the key is turned on without cranking the engine? Here is a guide to help you get started:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-cranks-but-wont-start

Please run down this guide and report back.

I've done all the guides said to do, I definitely do not have spark. I have a new crank sensor but have not put it in yet. The relay is absolutely good, I pulled it out and tested continuity through it and there is a click when installed. My check engine light comes on when key is turned as well. Have to go to work now I will check in later, thanks for the help.

I would do the crankshaft sensor first. here is a video that shows a similar car getting the sensor replaced:

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

I've already pulled the crank sensor and ohms it out and compared it to the new one and they are the same. but I will install the new one anyway and report back.

Yep, a sensor can still be bad even though it tests good. Let me know.

Changed it, but found the real problem. Internally broken spark wire, looked new but tested bad. Found the car has blown head gasket also though. so I will be doing a head, water pump, and timing belt. Thank you for the help.
