Set it up the same way you old engine was. Basically you are making the 93 engine a 90.

I own the truck listed above It doesn't run. The guy that gave it to me says that he had a buddy of his replace the head gaskets some time ago. Afterwards, he started it, heard a loud noise, and didn't try to start it again. He inspected it and noticed a bolt or screw missing from its place where the guy was working. Assuming he dropped said bolt or screw down into one of the shafts or pistons he gave up. My question is, what is the most affordable route to take to get this truck running again? How can I tell if that was the case and is there away to retrieve/remove bolt or screw? Or should I replace the entire engine? 1991 Ford F150 302 5.0 Motor. Thank you, everyone for your insight and wisdom. Fix or Replace Engine? Joel

Hello,

Assuming that this is really what happened, you should be able to retrieve the bolt through the spark plug hole of the cylinder in question with an extendable magnet. Then you will need to do a compression test on the engine to see if there was any damage done by the bolt. Here is a link below explaining how to do one:

1987 Ford F150 straight 6 blown engine so I bought a 1995 Ford F150 straight 6 for the engine. mine was a automatic the new engine was a stick shift. what do I need to make the new engine connect with the new engine block? please help

Good morning,

When you remove the donor engine, you will need to remove the clutch and flywheel. Then the pilot bushing inside the crank has to be removed as well. Then you can bolt up the automatic flywheel from your engine to the donor motor.
