The top module controlls it all.

I checked and there is power to everything including the hydraulic pump. I doubt this is electric, maybe the car has had the top stuck closed and hasn't been fixed for years and the system just needs some major resetting. Or the hydraulic is weak due to being dormant. But if the pressure is weak on holding the lid open until the top goes down how is the pressure able to pull the lid all the way up?

Hi,

Read this and let me know your thoughts.

The check valve contained within comes into use through the energized solenoid valve F1. This prevents the cylinder from becoming depressurized in the pressure stage and the convertible top compartment cover from being closed.

I have dug through everything I have and cannot find diagnostics for checking one of the solenoid valves.

Naser,
I feel it is related. The pump opens it quiclky, but then it loses pressure and drops. See if you can tell if it happens when solenoid valve 1 energizes.

Ugh! There isn't much room in there. See if there is a way to power the solenoid to see how it responds.

If your luck is like mine, you'll get in the trunk and it will be the one time it works. Then you'll be pinned in. LOL
