if he doesn't have a pro scanner the programmer won't be given to him...unles it's the aftermarket one then they will. make sure he is getting a good connection at aldl andpower as it may be a connection problem as well.
Truck was running fine. Truck is not driven everyday. Sits mostly for days unless we need it anyway. Truck was driving down rd and. Act like it had no power. Then loud noise brought it back home parked it had a mechanic come take it for drive. He said fuel pump okay. so we order part then put it in and this maybe nothing but the battery cables was never unhooked! Any way, truck starts up and stalls out. now will not start. no crack no start. We have replaced starter and battery and fuel relay fuse. Husband says he checked all fuses said they are good. We are stumped. please help!

What was the loud noise? Can you describe it? A boom, a back fire, a door falling off, lol.
Where did it sound like the noise came from? Back, front, under the hood?

I was not driving the truck. We were told that it needed a new fuel pump so my husband and brother replaced it. Truck started and stalled out. After we have replaced the battery and starter. I had my cousin take a look well. He pulled the dip stick to the oil and what do you think we found? No oil and smelled gas, so the gas was going into my oil. at first we thought motor is locked up but it turns manual. we drained all the oil/ gas now we pulling off the spark plugs. Not sure this motor can be saved. Don’t get me wrong I see on reviews people say oh that’s junk. But this truck has been in our family. We have taken darn good care of it. It has been one of the best trucks we have owned. Can it be saved?

A fourth party diagnosis is very difficult. And vague information makes it even harder. So far I haven't gotten enough information to even make a guess at what it could be. The sky is still the limit.
At this point I need to know what the noise sounded like if you could ask the person who was driving.
Also, your title says no crank no start. What does it do when you turn the key? Nothing? One click? Several clicks? Do the dash lights come on when you turn the key on? Do any lights work?
I need these details for a starting point and I can go from there. Thank you

They could not describe the noise but said that the truck act like had no power to get up the hills here . The truck would just click we thought it was a ground problem but. We have 2 cylinders filled with gas removed the oil filter and is oil in it not gas. I was told that maybe one on the lines was hooked up wrong meaning fuel pump We can manually turn the engine. We did find some kind of part looks like a large washer with rubber attached to it that was down under the engine maybe it was near a pulley to make that noise.

Does the vehicle have power? Lights, dash lights, blower, brakes, head lights? Any of that?
How do you know 2 cylinders were full of gas? You cant see that so how did you confirm it? And what is full of gas? Like literally full? Or the plugs were wet when they were pulled?
When it just clicks, is it 1 click or a continuous clicking?

The Security lights are not on. we pulled the spark plugs. We killed the battery trying to start it! It has been cold here . we took off new starter put on old one . At this time we are hand (manually turning the engine , we are not trying to start it as we are flushing out the gas in putting oil back in it. we have to drop the fuel tank again! We are going to take off the bed . We unhooked the battery , and relay fuses. I will update again soon.

Can you take a video of the engine cranking over so I can see if the engine is in okay shape please? Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on, that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

When diagnosing a concern regarding an intermittent vehicle no crank or dead battery, technicians should remove and reinstall the ignition switch using the Ignition Switch Replacement procedure in the Steering Wheel and Column section of SI. The ignition switch may have been misindexed in the steering column during a previous replacement.
If the ignition switch is misindexed in one direction, the ignition switch circuits will not be completely open when the ignition switch is in the OFF position with the key removed. This may result in lights remaining on or instrument panel lights illuminating, which will drain the battery. If the ignition switch is misindexed in the opposite direction, the ignition circuits will open correctly but the ignition switch may not close the crank circuit properly when the ignition key is turned to the crank position. This will result in a no crank concern.
Since you have no power to the solenoid then the ignition switch is not properly indexed to have power to the solenoid. Replace the switch first or call GM for a goodwill and let us know if this was the issue.

About every three to six months my truck will just take the day off. Lights, radio, everything work fine. It just will not turn over. It will not make a sound or do anything. I call a tow truck and by the time it gets to the dealer they have no problem starting it. I began to think the tow truck ride made the fix, so the last two times I had the problem, I would shake the truck like crazy. My neighbors think I am nuts. When the dealer accessed the computer, it read that there never was any failure. They cannot fix something that is not broken. Now the problem is happening more frequent. Twice this week. After about thirty to forty eight hours of sitting it decides to work. Any ideas? Thanks.
This is what is happens with my truck. Has any one found out what the problem is?
Truck has 48,500 miles on it.

Nice truck. When you say the truck will not crank over you mean the engine starter works but the engine will not run or the starter is not working? This guide can confirm the starter motor being bad and the next guide will walk you through the replacement.

My truck check engine light has been on since I bought it two years ago some kind of sensor. My dad (who is a certified mechanic) said not to worry about it, but now it will not start, no lights, nothing. Checked the battery it is good, it will start if I get it jumped. It will run fine for a couple days then will not start (hard to find someone to jump start your truck at 4:30 am).

Hello, I am Danny.
If you have access to a code reader/scanner and get back to use what code is stored for the Check Engine Light that would really help. Most auto parts stores offer the code reading for free- Pep Boys,O'Reilly's, AutoZone. I have attached a tutorial showing what is involved. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
