Also make sure the battery cable to the starter is tight also as well as the battery cables are clean and tight. Make sure you unhook the battery before checking connections. Also have the battery tested.

quick update. the wires leading to the starter were solid as a rock. i took a few accessory light wires off of the battery terminals, just mainly leds that look pretty but are not needed, and i took a dremel tool and shined up the contacts of the battery and the main cables. i put everything back together and i had no power at all. nothing. everything was tight and i figured with there being less gap in between the cable and the battery it should be better. so i started wiggling some of the old wires around that i had put in and i got power. started and stopped the car about 5 times and never had an issue. so i just tucked the bundle of wires away for now and hoping that maybe the issue was just a wire shorting out.

so about a week of this starting issue happening pretty much every single morning and sometimes during the day, i went to start my car this morning and it started right up without a problem. i think it's fixed. simple wire shorting from one of the accessory cables is what i'm thinking.

Well, shortly after i thought i fixed the issue, 2 days ago i had 4 instances where i went to start the car and had no power at all. was solved by wiggling the wires again. i was not going to do that every day just to start my car so i took another look after i had removed 70% of the extra wires in the way from the accessories. Caradiodoc was spot on, the positive terminal that goes to the fuse box was a little loose, even though i thought i had checked that before. so far so good. have not had the battery tested yet

Indeed, don't gloat too much though. I'm glad it was a simple issue regardless of the fact i thought i had checked that wire initially before jacking the car up and checking the starter wires.
