GM called today said looks like part will be shipped first part of next week but will see they told me that before and nothing. crossing fingers.

Well now, I feel I'm getting the run around GM called this afternoon saying oh there is no ETA on part yet will give me update next Monday.
Now they sent me papers on payment reimbursement if I'm making monthly payments or if I paid for car in full said will reimburse me while I'm waiting so we will see.

You know I just don't get it. I went on line to gmpartscenter.net they have fuel pump and all.

Hang in there. If you don't hear from them by the end of the day tomorrow, I would call Thursday and see if they have an update for you. Tell them you didn't buy a new car so it can sit. LOL

I spoke with GM today, still waiting on fuel pump, they have no idea how long this is going to take. I'm seriously upset it's going on for 6 weeks now.

They have given me a choice of a loaner or my monthly car payment. They keep saying that there is parts shortage but not giving me any more details. I have been calling around to mechanics but no one is getting back to me
This is not worth the headache.

Yes, they called on Friday nothing yet processes my payment to me said they going to call me Wednesday with an update.

i have a question, my NY state inspection is up this month. Now, here in NY cars are less than 2 model years old i only need to do safety inspection no emissions. Do you think i can go and get this done pass the safety inspection cause I'm at risk of getting ticketed for an expired inspection. thanks

I'm in PA and a safety inspection wouldn't involve what you are dealing with. The check engine light would fail it for emissions, but that's it. We do have to test drive the vehicle. If it is stalling and can put the driver in danger, I fail them but other than that, as long as everything is within the state's requirements, it would pass.

So, GM called me yesterday saying my part was delivered to the dealer on Friday. I called the dealer service this morning and the rep said he will call me back three hours later, nothing. I called again and got a different reply saying my rep stepped out have him call me no one has returned my call. I keep calling it's getting nowhere will try tomorrow.

I called the dealer again they have part it was in parts department rather than service area I am going in next Friday I have day off don't know how long it takes to install, but we will see.

I'm glad to hear they have it. As far as time goes, if it is the pump in the fuel tank, the flat rate is 4.6 hours. You may want to find something to do. Once you add in a lunch break, you will likely be there all day.

car is not ready, they have had it since Friday saying they had mechanics out sick. Hopefully, Tuesday. so, like i asked when is my car going to be a priority so if mechanics continue calling out sick i will never get car back. this is crazy.

I completely understand your frustrations. However, I don't know what is happening there. Maybe someone is truly sick, or they don't have the help needed. I know it is nearly impossible to get good help right now. No one wants to work. I'm nearly losing my mind with help. If you get someone, they usually can't tie their own shoes. LOL

Still have not done a thing yet. The car just sitting there spoke to GM today, will call back tomorrow they said.

Got call from dealer, I can pick up car in morning.
