battery light is on?

I have a new alternator and battery due to the repair shop said I needed them. I have 12V at the alternaor battery wire with engine off and 13.2 with engine running at the battery. I have 9.5 at idle on one of the small wires at idlle and 12.5 at 1500 rpm and 0 volts at the other small wire.

battery voltage is low. should be around 14 to 14.5

what was the original issue. did you return to have it re checked??

I had to have the PCM flashed to pass inspection. Yes I have had everything rechecked. I was told that it might be a fuse link between the alternator and the PCM is this ture and if it is where are they located. I know there is one by the battery.

no, not a link as you have some voltage but not enough.
re flashed?? for inspection?? very odd repair. what was the original issue that soemone told you this??

The monitors that the inspection looks at would never come out of not ready even after driving it 1,000 miles. The shop told me the PCM was locked up and needed to be reprogramed after that it passed inspection but the battery light came on 30 days after the inspection. I repaced the alternator due to a bearing going out in it. I had not had a charging issue until the PCM was flashed.

if it was related to the pcm, you would have had an issue right away not 30 days later. there is something else going on. have someone test the alternator to verify it is not a bad new alternator.

I have had it tested and it tested okay. The place I bought it at even replaced it in case it was a intermitten issue. They benched tested it for me before I left with it and it tested good there.
