a/c doesn't work?

On yesterday at the start of my day it was working. I made two stops. After my second stop I noticed my air was on but not blowing on the maximum level. I can feel the air coming through the vents and my overhead air is working fine.

Do you mean the air is blowing but not as hard as it was ( do all the blower speeds work?) OR that the air is blowing OK but it's not as cold as it was?
Those are different issues. Also do you have the automatic system (set it to a temperature on a digital readout) or the blue/red manual system.

I would like to know why does my air conditioning dont work, i already checked for leak's and there is none,fuses are good, i took my truck to auto parts and they put some refrigerant "134a" synthetic about 18 oz. and still blow's hot air and i can hear the compressor going on and off to aften. Please tell me what can i do, could it be that it does'nt have much refrigerant .

You would need to check the low and high side pressure to help determine the source of the concern. But it does sound like a low charge.

last night i left a plug up cooler running and it ran my battery completly down. i put a jumper box on it and it started up. when i got going i noticed it had no air conditioning. it doesnt even have any lights on the control unit on the climate control. everything else on and in the vehicle works great. but no heat or a/c

having a flat battery is no reason for the A/C system failing, so with this in mind, i would start with checking fuses if you have not already done this, post with what you find.

I have a 2003 GMC Yukon and the heater seems to be blowing cold air in the rear section of the vehicle. Can you provide some insight regarding what may be causing this problem?

You have two heater cores in your truck. One up front and one over the rear wheel well.

You could have clogged heater core, stuck control valve, or one/more of the blend doors are stuck.

The only way to check is to remove the HVAC unit for the rear.

You can gain access to it by removing that rear panel over the passenger side wheel well.

Replaced clutch , compressor and belt and the belt is still slipping. Already burned up one replacement clutch so replaced compressor too the second time.

Have you replaced the belt tensioner? It may not be holding enough pressure on the belt and allowing the clutch to slip.

3. Remove the drive belt tensioner

1. Install the drive belt tensioner.
2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolts.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).


4. Install the accessory drive belt.

When air conditioner in the front of the vehicle is turned on the fan barely blows out any air and it does not get cold. The a/c in the back blows hot air and does not cool off. When the heater is turned on very little air blows out, but it does heat up. Before I take it into a shop, I would like to know if anyone can explain what may be wrong. Thank you.

one of your actuators may not be working or it may be acontr head for the air movement. the a/c is probably leaked out Freon is why it's not working right. try pulling the hvac fuse for 60 seconds with key on sometimes the actuators reset and you may get air blowing through again. it may also have a wiring issue esepecially if you have seen smoke from the dash on pass side. the harness is known to melt together on these.
