Cruise Control to stop working?

Changed fuse 16 but that didn't repair the problem. Is there anything else I can look at?

check to see if switch is actually sending power or not it may be the cruise control unit the fuse you need to check is the #5 in relay center. not 16

My cruise control won't stay engaged. I've checked for vacumn leaks, all ok. I replaced the servoe twice and still no hold. baffeled -please help?

I have seen this before in a 1990 Pontiac I worked on. Checked everything you did. Ended up I had to pull steering column apart because of a broken wire in the harness going through the column. It breaks because of tilt steering columns mostly and is intermittent depending on steering wheel/column movement :D . Replaced it and they had no more problems. So I vote for the harness/switch being bad!!

Just bought this beauty, but the cruise control is dead. Can't find the c.c. fuse anywhere... Not in the fuse box at the drivers' side, nor in the fuse boxes in the hood. Any other idea?

there are more fuses on the passenger side and also a relay center drop the black panel underneath you will see it possible in there them are the only 3 spots that i know of have fuses.good luck

The attached excellent video of repair of 2004 LeSabre cruise control indicates that the cruise control mechanism at the throttle body end of the cruise cable gets very sticky and leads to catastrophic failure with the cruise control module actuator tape. https://youtu.be/HmQLTb6dzDY
