I wish you were local, you have been so nice and patient with me. So I filled it all the way and it feels smooth, the hesitation is still there but it is a lot smoother.

Hesitation not bucking and I don't think so, I hardly use it but it does work kind of. I mean the heat and the cold work but isn't very strong. Do you think I should use the Sea Foam again after this tank or no?

Like a sticky lag, it happens some times then some times it doesn't. Some times when it idles especially after refueling it shutters. Now it just kinda lags sticky some times not every time and not in the same place. It gets better after an STP treatment but still remains and it gets worse after refueling.

I wouldnt run another can after this one lets run the tank down and see what happens.I hope your trying a different gas station? Its strange after a fill up your having these problems possible the fuel pump partially sticking from the cold fuel hitting the hot pump?Usually the pumps just lock up when thats the case. How low is the tank when you usually fill up?

Yea I went to Shell and then BP and I usually fill it at half tank or little below that. It gets better the day after a fill up but still has the hesitation but not as noticeable. It kind of lags some times switching gears but it smoothes out.

I wouldnt mind knowing the fuel pressure when its acting up if it doesnt clear up after this tank. Before refilling this tank this next time run the tank down to a 1/8 of a tank.

Most of the time with a fuel pressure issue on those cars its the fuel pressure regulator in the filter not the fuel pump itself.I have replaced very few fuel pumps on that new of a saturn S model saturn.

So, you're saying it's the fuel filter. If I don't replace it, will that kill the car?

I cant say its the fuel filter i said if it was a fuel pressure issue it would most likely be the fuel filter. So lets see if this tank clears things up if it doesnt we will have to go from there.

Saturntech... I see the two of you have been discussing this for some time. Has the fuel pressure ever been checked? I see that you mentioned it a few times.

You can have your dad remove the intake tube and clean the throttle body plate and opening with some carb spray and a brush really easy to do.

Not causing the surging while driving but could effect idle.

So the throttle body could make the car shudder at idle but not the lag at first acceleration?

It can effect idle if the throttle.plate isnt getting a good seal all the way around. Also if the throttle plate is sticking it can feel like a lag when first stepping on the gas and opening the sticking throttle plate.Give the throttle plate in the throttle body opening a good cleaning and see how it runs.

So last night my dad took the car on the interstate and opened it up going 90 mph. He was impressed that the car shifts so well going those speeds, well since then the car is doing a lot better. Last night we also bought the CRC to clean the throttle body. This Sunday he said he's gonna teach me how to take off the throttle body to clean it. I'll let you know afterwards about the progress of the car.

So last night we purchased the CRC from Advanced and my dad took it out on the interstate going about 90 (lol). He was impressed with the way the car eased into gear. After that it's been doing great so on Sunday my dad is going to teach me how to take off the throttle body and how to clean it. I'll let you know what happens with the car afterwards. ;p

Hey guys, just got something new. Well not new, it seemed every time I started my car in the morning there was this gas smell. So today, my girlfriend drove it and there was a faint white smoke coming out like really faint and then it went away as soon as she started driving. My dad is ****ed at me for telling him all these things wrong with the car. Now, he thinks it's the Sea Foam burning off in the fuel tank but I think it's something else..I NEED this car..

So he took off the air in take and cleaned the throttle body. Just refilled yesterday at BP as opposed to Wawa. Also burned out all of the Sea Foam in the tank..I really don't want to jinx it but after burning the Sea Foam out of the car, there has been no hesitation or shudder. I was so scared to fill it because that's when it acted up the most but it's been fine.

Glad to hear its running better sounds like it was most likely just some water in the tank.
