battery light on?

I have a innova 3320

Alright fully charge the battery start it up and see what the voltage read's at idle at the battery cable's.Let me know what you find.

Ok I checked the voltage and it went from 12.85 to 11.73 and is falling as van runs.. here is my number if u want to text 5158224444. Now that van has been running for about 3 min.. and battery light has come on voltage level now. Is 10.63 and falling fast!

Is now 9.88 and still falling!

I just shut van off voltage now reads 11.33 and rising

It says 11.65 now..

Voltage rased all the way up to 11.84 as of right now

It's at 11.92 10:04 pm cst. And I'm restarting van. It clicks like battery's dead and voltage metter goes down to 800 then 500's and now just got it to start! And it reads 9.83

And falling!

I'm thinking a wire is grounded out some where! That sound about right to u?

Or maybe the wires coming off the alt.. are bad..

Did you have the new alternator tested before you installed it?I always do in case it's bad so i don't chase my tail by installing a bad alternator.Also fully charge your battery.With the key off at the black and grey wire on the alternator you should have battery voltage.Also at your dark green and orange wire at the alternator you should have battery voltage.Let me know what you find.

I figured it out there is a short in between the feed to alt. And the batt... thanks though.
