What codes do you have?A basic code reader wont read abs codes most of the time. What brand and model code reader do you have?

The vss would effect the transmission shifting not the abs the scanner at auto zone i doubt reads abs codes. So when you hook up a scanner what happens it doesnt power up off the obd2 connector no commicationwith car etc?

If the scan tool doesnt power up off the connector you most likely have a blown fuse thats the first thing i would check. The inside fuse box the fuse is labeled cigar Ltr see if it has power to both sides of that fuse. The vss is tested with a multimeter lets start by checking the fuse and getting the codes.

Your sure that fuse is good otherwise your next step will be tracing the orange wire at the obd2 connector.I would hate to see you trace that wire for nothing.Alright next see if the orange wire at the obd2 connector has battery voltage.

Obd2 connector where the scan tool hooks up.Are you grounding the meters black lead to chassis ground and not the ground on the connector? And hooking the red meter lead to the orange wire at the connectorand getting 4.3 volts?Because thats a strange reading.

Your going to have to trace the orange wire back and see where the problem is causing the low voltage reading.Thats where i would start so then you can scan for codes.

The orange wire goes back to the inside fuse box to the cigar Ltr fuse.As far as the shifting and the abs we have to get the obd2 connector working battery votage etc.So we can get the codes otherwise we will just be guessing and wasting time.

You have to start at the obd2 connector follow the orange wire back to the inside fuse box testing the voltage as you go along till you find the problem.

At this point a wire diagram is only going to show the orange wire running from the obd2 connector to the inside fuse box.It wont show what path it takes to get there thru the dash.Your just going to have to test the voltage as you follow it back to the inside fuse box.

What were the exact code numbers P with the four digit numbers after it?That doesnt help me help you when you say you had 8 codes and cleared them. Also what code scanner did you use was it a orange actron scanner? The scanner you used probably doesnt read abs codes so that doesnt help with the abs light.

So it was the actron scanner?Do you know which one it was?I think there might only be one actron scanner that reads abs codes on some domestic vechiles.I will check those codes when i get home it usually takes more then a mile to reset a code and you have more then one.

Code P0107 is map.sensor circuit low voltage P0118 is ect sensor circuit high P0740 is tcc solenoid elecrical malfunction Code P0753 is 1-2 shift solenoid A performance malfunction code P0758 is 2-3 shift solenoid B electrical malfunction code P0785 is 3-2 shift solenoid electrical malfunction code P1810 is transmission fluid pressure postion switch code P1860 is tcc pwm solenoid electrical malfunction. As you can see none of the codes you set are for the vss. With that many codes i would be checking for a bad spot in the powertrain harness somewhere.

You see the code descriptions you have set correct? Those are for all kinds transmission codes so i would say that would cause all kinds of shifting issues. All the cars i have worked on with that many different codes like that were wiring or a computer issue.

With the computer there really isnt a straight forward test when you have so many codes and there intermintant. All you really can do is elminate everything else and suspect the computer last. Its not going to be easy to track down unless you get lucky.Your best bet would be to use a scan tool that displays live data and watch the inputs while moving wires and connections around looking for big change in the input values.

Where did you hear that? The body control module controls the body functions door locks keyless entry security etc. Also there is not really a bench test for the body control module you would have to rule out wiring bad power and grounds terminal tightness etc to find it was a bad body control module like all the other computers. So it still wont shift out of first the abs light is on and no codes in the ecm/tcm?You still have to check those abs codes at some point.
