your losing voltage some where.buy a test light and find where the voltage drops.test that circut for a open wire.
Blower not working. How do I test the output of the three contacts to the blower motor? Can I put 12 volts to the motor itself to test its function?

Would not do that Caddy motors are controled by solid state components. Check for 12v on red wire. The motor ground comes from programer thaqt gives the speeds. Is this Auto or manual HVAC

The HVAC controls display everything normally but no fan action takes place. The motor is a very expensive item (over $200) and I wanted to make sure the controls were working properly.

Check for power and ground at the blower connector, with a test light between the red and black wires. The smaller gauge wire(gray?) is the blower speed feedback. If the light lights, replace the blower.

blower doesnt always work. disconnect and reconnect works for 2 days then stops. when working wont work in auto goes to econ.

The default to econ, is usually from another HVAC fault, other than a blower motor. Something like low refrigerant, or false detection of due to a faulty sensor. the blower is more than likely a blower.

remove the blower wire.it goes back to the blower motor module its bolted into the top of the a/c case. replace it. the auto light is a whole other problem i think but lets start her.ty for using 2carpros

none of these come on i cant tell how much gas i have i cant get the a/c heater, defroster, to come on there is no display for them. i have checked all the fuses an they where good. but i cant reset the computer because the a/c unit does not work. do you have an idea's of what could be wrong with this?

If all of those items are not working, have the body control module (BCM) tested.
Let me know what you find.

We just had a mechanic replace the A/C Compressor on the car. However, now the blower fan is not working. There is power to the fan and the ground is good. When voltage is applied to the grey wire, the fan works. However, there does not seem to be any power coming out of the grey wire. He says he is not getting any A/C codes from the computer. Is there a way to reset the Heater A/C controller to see if that is the problem before we buy a new controller?

If there is no voltage coming out the gray wire, it is a direct output from the A/C programmer. The only thing additional you could do is check the continuity of that wire from the blower to the programmer to verify it is not open. You should be checking power at that wire with a voltmeter, as it is not always 12 volts, and a test light may not light even though there is power. It ranges usually from 4 to 9 volts.

The blower does not circulate air even though climate control electronics show fan selection auto or HI and so on. I had the blower replaced 18 months ago a great dealer cost.
Please help me preform diagnosis if it is blower or controller.
Also, prior to this failure Heat will not blow from vent... will blow from defrost, defog and at floor. AC works on all including vents.
Thanks

its on the firewall behind the motor, open the hood and look directly at the firewall and there it is, too get it out you need to tip the motor forward by taking out the front cradle bolts and jacking up the car, otherwise you have to take off the back valve cover to get it off

Air Conditioning problem
1998 Cadillac Deville V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 70K miles
When I got in my car today the blower did not respond. Yesterday it worked fine. I cannot find where it is fused. I did find some code history: PCM P603; MMM B2144; SDM P1327; IPC B1552 and TCS C1255. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you. Mike

Pull the blowr connector, check for power and ground on the large wires(2). You can use a test light across them. If you have power you need a blower motor.

Hello,
This code is for the blower motor resistor here is the location so you can replace it.
FRONT BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR
This vehicle does not use a Front Blower Motor Resistor. The Front Blower Motor speed is regulated by the Front Blower Motor Speed Control which is incorporated into the Front Blower Motor and is not serviced separately.
