The D4 light comes on and the car will not start. We have been able to make the light go off by juggling the car in drive little. The tranny seems fine, shifts fine, the fluid is fine. Is there a way yo make the light go away and the car can start.

Hi 469802879,
It should not be anything to do with the trans.
The main relay is faulty, it is not providing the correct signal to the ECM. Changing the main relay should solve this problem.

Hi 469802879,
The relay is found underdash above the driver's left leg.
It is a seven pin grey colored box.

So i was driving and i started to hear a light tapping noise. As i slowed down to pull over the noise became louder. I opened the hood to hear this very loud tapping sound like something was hitting inside the engine. I go to pull off not even to 1000 rpm and i heard 5 loud banging sounds and then one real loud sound and the car cuts off. The engine will not turn over but when you try to turn it over theres a little tap sound...like there is something stuck. I was told i couldve spun a bearing and the piston got stuck. Could i just change the bearing and everything should be fine or could it be something else?

Sorry to say simply replacing the bearing is not an option. At the very best it may get the engine to start and run but you'd be real lucky if it ran for two minutes after many hours of hard and dirty work. The crankshaft journal will be chewed up and it will destroy the new bearing which is very soft metal. Metal chips will be circulating in the engine which will destroy the other bearings as well. Whatever caused the first bearing to fail will also be acting on the rest of them. This is cause to rebuild the complete engine. Given the age of the car, if the rest of it is in good shape you're better off finding a used engine from a salvage yard, (assuming the diagnosis is correct).
