Autozone recommended and sold a grade lower oil (Castrol GTX 5W-30 - good quality but not synthetic) than the required dexos1.
A week later, the oil shot out of the underside of the vehicle and is coating the under carriage, but no oil appears to be leaking in the engine itself, the oil pan, or the front end of the engine.
Would the oil have caused a seal to blow, or is this just coincidental?
I didn't notice it wasn't the right oil until after the fact, unfortunately, after the oil pressure tanked and it emptied out the oil all over road.
Any advice is appreciated.
