Will not stay running

Two things come to mind that will cause this problem. The first would be a vacuum leak which will cause the engine to stall at idle.

Next would be a stuck EGR valve which will allow the intake of the engine to be mixed with exhaust causing the engine to stall at idle as well.

Mass air flow sensor. Use some isopropyl alcohol to clean it. Put it back in and it will run.

Start by having the car scanned for fault codes .. check you have good spark and fuel pressure also check for vacuum leaks ? .. repost with full fault codes for more assistance

I can drive my car all day with just the heat and radio on, as soon as i turn on any other accessories the check charging system light comes on as well as the check advancetrac light. If I turn off the extra accessories the warning lights go off. The wipers and windows also operate very slowly while the car is running. Certain days i need a boost to start the car and then runs with same problems. What could be wrong?

Have the charging system checked out-could be the alternator

Bad diode in the generator. Have it load tested with a tester that measures "ripple". If ripple is high you are likely to also find the most output it will deliver is exactly one third of its rated capacity. That's barely enough to keep up with the fuel pump, ignition system and lights with nothing left over to charge the battery or run other accessories.

Recently I have had problems starting my car. I started earlier this winter when the temperature began to drop. My first assumption was that it was the battery or alternator, however, I have had the electrical systems tested, and it does not seem like that is the problem. I have not used the car for about a month now, and when I went back to try and start it, it now starts on the first crank, but the engine dies after just a few seconds. After that happens, it will not start at all. I am thinking maybe a clog in the fuel line or fuel filter, basically something with the fuel. Does anyone have any suggestions or has this happened to anyone else?

get a little starting fluid in intake - a good shot will tell if fuel is problem or not. Yeah, it happens a lot - usually when it does this it'll only start a couple times, though (fuel pressure/pump), if it'll "start and die" all day long I'd suspect electrical or ignition problems, and with "security" and computers - it could be both fuel AND ignition in-operative...

I have a 2001 Lincoln LS. When I am idling, it begins to vibrate a bit and the rpm move a little bit and then sometimes it stalls. Once I'm on the gas, these symptoms disappear. My emission light is on.

Check for vacuum leaks and check the idle air control valve. If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes.

i have a 2001 lincoln ls v6 and when i start it it will idle high then lower down but when i go to give it gas once it hits around 40mph it spudders and wont go any higher then if i go to put it in gear the car shuts off. when you look at the exhaust its a thick white smoke and it has a very rich gasoline smell. i plugged it up to my computer and it said piston 3 and 5 are misfiring and the egr valve popped up. i put a new egr valve in the car and nothing happened so i know its one of the sensors but i replaced the one behind the motor and nothing happened and i disconnected the battery to reset the computer but nothing happened so i took the head off the motor and looked inside and there is like an inch thick of carbon build up inside the head i was wondering what sensor is in control of the carbon and if i replace that sensor it would fix the car

did you remove the head or the valve cover???

there is no sensor for carbon.

what were the codes????? including the egr??

You may have a vacuum leak, get a can of spray gumout, spray the vac lines and maniflod area, when the idle changes, youve found the leak! You want the engine running and spray on the outside but do direct the stream onto the hoses, if it is a vacuum leak, the engine idle will change speed, then you have detected a leak, repair the vacuum leak and see how it runs! If that doesnt do it, you may need a new idle air control valve, it's bolted to the throttlebody
