Will not stay running?

2005 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER
102,000 MILES • 2.4L • 4 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

The vehicle listed above is a Touring model. Sat for 5 weeks since I didn't drive after an operation. Appeared completely dead so I jumped it off. Started and ran after disconnecting cables. Suddenly it shut off. Turned key, nothing. After a few minutes, lights came on dash but turning the key it shut off again. After a few minutes, the lights returned. What should I check?

It sounds like the battery is no good, I would remove it to have it tested at the auto parts store.

Thank you. I didn't think a 1-year-old battery would be the culprit but testing at O'Reilly's proves me wrong. Warranty battery fixes it.
