Will not start and codes p1128,p1129 and p1300

Okay, so I have been without running car for about week and a half now and i'm about to lose my mind. it happen on highway and it just kind of lost throttle response and backfired once or twice then came to a stop. it will crank and sputter like it wants to start but will not. Or it actually has for a second or two but no throttle response and shuts off. I can happily upload video if anyone wants. i am getting codes p1128,p1129 and 1130 . i was getting 1128 and 1300 before and have had throttle issues in past so i had an extra throttle body and i did change the motor TPS and apps, so basically all the components. I tried to start after replacing that and got all 3 codes i didn't clear it but did leave the battery off for at least a day so probably cleared but wanted to include all the codes so i can provide as much info as possible. I don't want or have the money to throw parts at it so help on what the issue is would be appreciated .thanks

Hello,

Yes, if you can upload a video of the engine cranking over it will help me see if the engine is okay mechanically. You can upload it here with your response. It sounds like you may have a timing belt issue.

I really hope that's not what it is. I've already had every major engine catastrophe. Happen in past throwing a rod engine locking and blowing a head gasket happened to me in other vehicles. I've had bad luck with cars but I really don't think that's what it is. watch the video let me know what you think. I'm so frustrated I could scream. I'm at my wit's end with it.

Thanks for the video. it does seem to crank over normally which is good. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds? It must be quiet for this test. If so lets try to check for spark because it could be a crankshaft angle sensor that is going out which will not leave a code.

Okay, so i tested for spark with spark tester and getting spark . this may be a dumb question, but i would like to be sure on the crank sensor it has a ground strap on the sensor side but then connector only has 2 wires, correct? A friend had messed up one of the wire to the harness of the crank sensor i think its behind alternator right? I am nearly positive that's what it is , since i have gotten another harness from pick n pull and soldiered the new harness in but what should i Do with the ground strap ? Do i ground it to something or just leave it unplugged i only see it on sensor side of connector and the other end has a 2 wire harness, it you could clarify that for me would appreciate it i also tested crank harness resistance with multi-meter appears good.

Yes, the sensor only has two wires the ground strap is to help keep noise out of the circuit. Here is a guide to help you run some tests with the engine and crankshaft wiring diagrams below:

Thanks ken for your replies and time it ended up being bad ignition coil wires or at least after i addressed that and the throttle components i was able to get it started. They were pretty rough. I regretfully had the car taken to a p.o.s ,shady "mechanic" & its had all kinds of problems since, that it didn't have before. Including the harness connector to that coil. Ill be sure to do things myself from now on . like they say " if you want something done right , do it yourself. Thanks again .
