Hi,

If this started since the tune-up, are you sure that the spark plug wires are installed correctly? I attached the firing order below. Let me know.

Also, let me know what all was done for the tune-up. If possible, record the engine cranking and upload it for me to hear. I may be able to recognize the problem if I hear it.

Here is a link you may find helpful. It discusses the most common causes of a crank no start condition.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Oil, filter, cables, spark plugs, distributor cap and that thing that goes under the cap. firing order is right. check for sparks on each plug. got I took off the hose after the gas filter to see if gas is going up there is. it cranks but just won't turn over. oh, and I think it had the original stuff cables, cap, cables, were numbered and cap still had the Nissan logo.

Hi,

Do me a favor. See if it starts for a couple of seconds using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, then we know it's fuel-related. If it doesn't change things, then we have an ignition spark issue.

Let me know what happens.

Gas didn't start and I got spark on plugs the truck was running and it would turn on I just thought it needed a whole tune up and now it doesn't want to start. along time ago I did this and didn't want to start. so I put everything back an got it to start again so I left it but this time didn't want to work with the old stuff.

Hi,

If you supplied fuel or starting fluid to the engine, it has spark, and didn't start, either we have low compression or the timing is off.

Is it possible for you to record it cranking and upload it for me to hear? I should be able to tell if it is a timing or compression issue.

Otherwise, I'll need you to perform a compression test. Here is a link that shows how it is done:

Let me know what you find.

Hi,

Something sounds off. It could be a timing issue or a compression issue. What I suggest is this. Perform the compression test and let me know the results. I attached the link above showing how it is done.

Also, try checking for diagnostic trouble codes. This vehicle has an OBD1 system. You don't need a scanner to retrieve codes. Follow this link and let me know if anything is found.

Take care and let me know what you find.
