Will not shift to high gear

Changed fluid and filter in the transmission. After i finished i took the vehicle for a test drive and the vehicle wont shift in high gear.I tried to shift it manually and still wouldn't shift to drive.I get to 35 mph and the vehicle does not shift.

Okay, was there any debris in the pan on the magnet?

There was some debris on the magnet and the fluid looked dark brown.

Not good.

I would replace the fluid several times to get rid of the bad fluid.
