Transmission will not shift out of park?

This can happen when the brake light switch stops working. I would step on the brake pedal to see if the lights are working and if not let's start by checking the fuses and if they are okay, I have left instructions in the images below to help you change the stop light switch out. If the brake light works, the shift lock solenoid is not working which I have included below as well. Check out the images (below).
