After a transmission change, will not come out of four wheel drive?

175,000 MILES • 5.9L • V8 • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

Mechanically, under the truck it seems to shift from 4H to 4L to N to 2H but the 4WD light stays on and it feels like it's still in 4WD.

I would recheck the vacuum solenoid on the front axle, here is the location so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find.
