I recently tore down my engine to replace #7 valve lifters. I got it back together but missed a plug somewhere and can't figure out where it goes. The plug is located by the firewall at the back of the intake manifold almost same general area as the dreaded oil sensor. Or at least that's where I'm finding the lose plug, it's blue. Can someone please tell me where this goes.

Hi,

That's a tough one. How many wires are going to the connector? Also, what color are the wires?

If you look below, I attached three pics identifying electrical components that need to be disconnected to remove the intake. See if anything sticks out to you as a possibility.

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

That is attached to the valve lifter oil manifold. It took some time to find it looking through schematics, but eventually, I did.

Pic 1 shows the connector, pic 2 shows the component and I highlighted where the connector is, and pic 3 shows the connector on a new component.

You should be able to access it with the intake on the vehicle, but it will be a little more difficult. Use a mirror to see if you are able to see it under the intake.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe

It did the job. Right now my map sensor is acting up but I figure it's from rolling the intake on its side to clean it up before installing new gaskets. Going to try to clean it up with some brake cleaner and see if it does the trick.
