Wipers park in center of windshield

Put a new wiper motor on. The wipers go down before coming up and park in center of windshield. Have tried to adjust the arms but, if you put them level they end up on the hood.

It sounds like you have the wiper arm linkage backwards somehow. here is instruction in the diagrams below on how to install the wiper linkage. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response. Check out the diagrams (below).
