My name is Kate. I have the car listed above. My wipers were slow then wouldn’t move. I changed the wiper motor and they worked for a minute then stopped. Checked fuses. Wiper motor 30 fuse was blown. Took off arms to “reset”. Changed fuse. The turning mechanism for arms Worked for a min then “30”fuse blown again. What do I do?

Hi Kate,

If the wiper motor runs for a few moments before the fuse blows, then it is probably pulling too much current or working too hard. This makes me think that the wiper linkage may be binding up. I would remove the wiper motor from the linkage assembly and then operate the linkage by hand. It should move smoothly and freely. If it binds up or if you notice any damage to the linkage, then I would replace it.
