I had a new battery installed at a Chevrolet dealership, the wipers worked before this. Now they are not working, cannot even hear the motor running. The back wiper works and the washer works, just not the wipers. Could they have missed a step, hooked up something backwards or need to reset something?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

The battery in this vehicle is located partially under the cowl (bottom of the windshield) and a pain to remove and replace. The wiper motors' power supply runs across the cowl. Therefore, I would believe they disconnected the wiring to remove the battery and forgot to reconnect it.

What I would suggest is to return to the shop that did the work and have them check if the motors were left disconnected. Tell they you know the power supply to the motors runs where the battery is located. Also, there are two wiper motors on this vehicle. Make sure both are getting power.

Let me know what you find and if this helps.

Take care,
Joe
