Windshield wiper not parking properly

Hi,

The idea that it won't park in the correct position leads me to believe there could be a problem with the new motor for this reason.

The end position (park position) of the wiper motor is recognized by means of a reset contact integrated in the motor. This contact switches ground to the general module when the motor has reached its end position. Because it is integrated in the motor, to the best of my knowledge, it isn't adjustable.

By chance, did the old motor do the same thing or did it just fail? Also, can you take a pic of the screw that you question as an adjustment?

The old motor just quit one day. But until it stopped working, the blades parked right next to the hood for 20 years.
The linkage determines the sweep of the blades, and I have the blade arms mounted in the correct positions or they wouldn't sweep perfectly, but when you turn them off, the blades make one last perfect sweep, then park in the windshield.
I agree that the motor must be faulty, if not adjustable.

I just rechecked the procedures for replacing the motor/assembly. The only thing it indicates is to have the motor in the park position prior to installing the wiper arms. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't giving you bad info.
