Will not start/ horn sounding off

Our car ran out of gas. After adding gasoline, it acts
like it's trying to start. The horn sounds but engine
won't start. Security light on dash is not on and we have
not armed the alarm or liked the car. Help?

if you ran out of gas you probably bruned up the fuel pump as it gets its lube from that. try hitting the bottom of the tank with flat of ahnd or rubber hammer, not to hard to not bend it. if it starts fine if not check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent them
