Will not go into any gear

I have an 04 Vue manual trans. It became really hard to shift in about 3 hors time while i was visiting a friend. On the way home i had to be kinda rough and i ended up breaking the shift cable bushing. long story short, i replaced the bushing as well as the shifter cables. Still it will not go in gear with engine on, with it off it will but when i start the engine the car kind of jerks like the clutch is not working properly. Any suggestions?

This sounds like your clutch is failing and not allowing the the shifter to engage. Here is a guide that talks about this a little more:
