THM2004R will make a little thump when trying to go in drive. checked fluid lever hot in idle will only whine in reverse. what could be problem?

Good afternoon,
It sounds like the front pump is whining from lack of fluid. This noise usually sounds like a power steering noise when it is low in fluid.

What causes this is the filter is clogged in the pan and needs to be changed.
I would drop the pan and change the fluid and filter.
