Just bought truck a couple months ago 4x4 light is on and stays on when switching it from 2wd to 4x4 and back cannot hear engaging or clicking.

Why is my 4x4 light staying on?

This happens when the encoder motor goes out and doesn't return fully keeping the light on. here is the location so you can check it out. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
