why does my car has a very low idle?

I have a 1995 toyota corolla and I have a really low idle and at times when I go to start it the car won't stay running. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The idle control system has a fault and usually it is due to a dirty IAC and throttle body. Get them cleaned and retest.
