Whirring or squealing when driving 15 to 30 MPH?

Hi,

If this happens when the engine is cold, check to make sure the alternator belt is tight and in good condition.

Also, if possible, record the sound and upload it for me to hear. I should be able to recognize it if it is a belt-related issue.

That sounds like a wheel bearing. When you speed up, does it stop or change? Also, when making turns, is there one direction that makes it louder? Does the sound change if you press the brakes?

It isn't a belt. It sounds like either metal to metal on the brakes or a wheel bearing.

It goes away after I drive more than 15 MPH. No turns or anything makes a difference, that's why I'm confused.

This is an odd one. I would think something would change the pitch or sound it makes. Nothing like a backing plate behind the brake rotors is rusted or touching the rotor, correct?

Nothing of the sort, it squeals on 1st or 2nd and instantly vanishes when I have speed up enough.

That is really odd. When I listened to it, I thought it sounded like it was a grinding noise. That's why I questioned the things I mentioned.

Can you tell approximately where it is coming from? Could it be coming from the transmission? Is the fluid full?
