Whining noise when accelerating

Is it possible to get a recording of the noise so we can hear the noise?

One way to tell if it is the transmission is to drive the vehicle so that it is making the noise and then shift to neutral and if the noise goes away, it probably is in the transmission.

I noticed this morning that the loud squealing noise occurred soon I cranked my car this morning then it went away and it still does it when I'm driving.

So a squealing noise is normally a belt. So try removing the serpentine belt and start the engine and see if it does it. If not then the belt may have gotten some oil or coolant on it when you were doing the other repairs. If it still does it then get a recording of it because if it is a belt noise, then the timing belt would be the next likely thing. However, I would want to hear before I would tell you to tear it back down to check the timing belt.

I got the timing belt replaced.

Okay. Looks like the belt was still on there so it would be a good comparison to run it without the belt. However, that whining when you are hitting the gas that seems to come and go is normal. That is actually the rotating components that make that whining but I am not sure that is the noise you are hearing. Let's compare that to it running with the belt off and go from there.

This morning when I cranked the car there was a high idle and then I heard the squealing sound i have been referring to.

Have you tested this with the serpentine belt removed from the vehicle? I listened to the video again and hear what you are talking about but have heard that in other vehicles. It is normally the serpentine belt but unless it is just bothering you, I would not worry about it.

What is the serpentine belt? I had a mechanic check my belts but stated nothing wrong. I'm still not understanding what could be the issue my car sounds very loud when driving.

That is the drive belt. You actually have two of them. A is pointing to the alternator belt. B is pointing to the power steering belt.

If you remove these and run the engine and it still does it then these belts are not the issue.

Okay, I never change the power steering belt.

Okay. So if that was never changed then it may not be the issue. However, if you remove the other and it still does it, then it is worth while to remove this one as well as any belt can cause a noise and this may just be a coincidence. I am speaking from experience that we don't want to make assumptions on these as they will most likely be the issue and we assumed it was fine.
