Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

A bad wheel bearing can cause a howling noise when moving. Often times, you the sound will change when turning, which can help locate the bad bearing. Your vehicle is front wheel drive, so if I had to guess, I would think it is one of the fronts. However, a rear bearing can go bad. Pay attention when driving. If the noise gets louder when you turn right, the left front wheel bearing is bad. The opposite when turning left will be experienced. Basically, the weight of the vehicle shifts when turning placing more of a load on the bearing. Thus, it gets louder. Keep in mind, the opposite can happen. If it gets quieter when you turn right, you are actually removing load from the right wheel and it will get quieter.

Try that test and let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe
