The transmission range sensor is part of the valve body, here is what the part looks like that has this sensor intergraded into, what problem are you having? Check out the images (below).

A lot of problems. When you go to start it, it won’t start. Stays in run and can’t shut it completely off. Message on dashboard that says service transmission car is not in park continue in D and don’t turn engine off. The FCW lights are on my dashboard and won’t stay off when you turn them off in the uconnect. The shifter knob is all lit up red, and have to disconnect the battery to keep it from draining the power.

wow, you are not kidding, let's do a CAN scan to see which codes are stored. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

It does sound like the range sensor, but a code would help, let me know what you find.

There are the only codes that deal with the transmission.

U0101 - Lost Communication with Transmission Control Module (TCM)

P061A - Internal Control Module Torque Performance

Please start new questions for

P0222 - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "B" Circuit Low Input
P2127 - Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 Circuit Low Input

and

P0440 - Evaporative Emission System Malfunction

Let's check the fuses #60 # 94 in the fuse panel under the hood, this guide can help:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

If the fuses are okay I would replace the valve body which is the transmission control module. Make sure you clear the codes once the repair is completed. Please go over this guide and get back to us.

Are you able to change the valve body yourself or do you have to take that to a mechanic?

Replacing it is not too bad, but it will need to be programmed, do you have that capability?

no problem, then it would be best to have a repair shop do it for you.
