Oil pressure sender/sensor location

Good morning.

You need a oil pressure socket. You can get it at a parts store. I would also get a three inch extension and a 3/8 ratchet for the job.

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

2. Disconnect the oil pressure indicator switch electrical connector (2).

3. Remove the oil pressure indicator switch from the engine block.

1) Am I looking at the left side of the engine in that view (assuming that I am sitting in the driver's seat)?
2) Must the sensor be accessed from under the car? The picture makes it appear closer to the hood.
3) I found a hose with a loose connector under the hood. The hose seems to be coming from part of the engine, so I am wondering if it could be the culprit in the oil pressure warning. Can you tell what this is and where the end is supposed to go?

1. The arrow in the picture points to the front of the car. So, yes, left side.

2. Yes it is accessible from the underneath of the car.

3. That is the vent line for the transmission. It is supposed to be like that.
