When we turn on the head lights the tansmission wont shift out.

Who told you it was a computer? The headlights and computers aren't tied together, so I really have to question that.

As far as the problem, what do you mean it won't shift out? Can you describe what happens? Has the check engine light come on?

Let me know. To me, it sounds like a ground problem and not a computer. By the way, which computer are they even referring to? Is it the PCM, TCM... ?

The first thing I would do is start checking for body ground issues. Again, the PCM and TCM don't work with the transmission, so I feel it is most likely a bad ground.
